Another batch of beauties. It is nice to see the inclusion of a handful of Aussie pics, including 'Breaker Morant', which is iconic over here. Did you know that even though there is a choice edition of this film on region 1 with commentary etc, the only release we got here in oz was a crappy vanilla cut with a half arsed transfer?? It's a bit like 'Blue Murder'- one of the best things to come out of this country, and it took a US company to think it was worth red carpet treatment, while our local edition is a sad affair with virtually no extras.

Anyway, I don't want to sound negative, but we all have to have a little cry from time to time, don't we?

'The Temple of Chlock' is a ray of sun from behind the clouds.

(BTW, I wonder if the makers of 'Caddie' realised they were schlockmeisters? Just Kidding!!)

I saw the Incredible Shrinking Woman and The Aristocats... Too young for the really good stuff (not that the Aristocats isn't my fave Disney movie!).

Man, part of the fun of "Now Showing" is seeing films like CADDIE keeping company with stuff from the other side of the tracks, such as FEAR NO EVIL and the hardcore flick EXPOSED. When I pulled that cheesy ad for SILENT DEATH out of the Newark Star Ledger a few weeks ago (for a "Lost and Still Not Found" post), I found it hanging out next to GANDHI!
